Launch of New City GIS Map

The City of Kotzebue is pleased to announce the launch of our new GIS Map! A GIS (Geographic Information System) Map is a digital map that can provide information about an area-if you've ever used Google Maps then you're familiar with GIS Maps. The new City of Kotzebue GIS Map doesn't handle navigation, but it was compiled using survey and Alaska Division of Community and Regional Affairs (DCRA) data on the area, to show the locations of things like manholes, telephone lines, sewer and water lines, fire hydrants, easements, and more. The Layers List in the top right allows you to toggle visibility for each type of data available. We hope this map will become a useful resource for the community!
